story

1988

MS AIR INC. started on May 9th of 1988 as Hurst Hydraulic Service. Michael Sherick had Owned and Managed several AAMCO franchise stores and was very familiar with the Auto Repair Industry. His primary focus was the sale and installation of Automotive Lifts, and Service Jacks. This quickly lead to Compressed Air as nearly every function of a shop required it. Michael soon began installing Airlines, Air Compressors, Filters, and Dryers to accommodate his customers. For larger shops He provided turn-key solutions with Automotive Lifts, Compressor Systems, Piping, and Advanced electronic control systems.

1996

In no time Michael’s client base moved from Commercial to Light Industrial, now He was installing major air systems with thousands of feet of pipe, and air drops, hose reels, regulators, and advanced rotary screw compressors. He started performing preventative maintenance on these advance systems early on offering tremendous value to his customers that required little or no downtime. He provided after hours service calls, system change outs, and upgrades to help his growing customers achieve their production goals. He installed new air lines, and new air drops just in time for customers receiving a new production machine. There was not much time left on his schedule to fix jacks, and repair or install lifts anymore, he was too busy keeping factory’s in production!

2005

On March 5th of 2005 His Son Matthew Sherick joined the team full time. Matthew had been involved from the very beginning, riding his bike around the old Hydraulic’s shop, helping Dad fix jacks, lifts, air compressors, install air lines, learning to weld and fabricate Michael had taught His son many skills, and most importantly life skills. He taught Him how to be a good steward with His money, how to respect others, how to give to those in need, and how to honor God. Matthew still had a lot to learn about air compressors and even more to learn about business.

2007

In 2007 Michael and Matthew agreed to Incorporate MS AIR. In May of 2008 Matthew Sherick took over operations and the office. Michael considered himself “retired” at this point, however he was still very involved in helping Matthew find his way. Michael had stepped back to allow His Son to learn how to fail but never quit, He very intentionally watched and coached Matthew through a lot of failures, and a few big wins. In 2009 Matthew and Michael agreed to start a partnership with Atlas Copco.

2022

Fast forward – today MS AIR is providing TOP TIER solutions for many industries. Our primary focus is compressed air, nitrogen, chill water, and HVAC. Take a look at a few of our most well known clients!
